“Jisaboke”

2008 June 5

Jet lag is called 時差ボケ, and I think it’s catching up with me. When I finally got to sleep last night, I slept pretty well and woke up just fine, but now that it’s rolled over into nighttime in my home time zone, I’m feeling like going back to bed. Gotta keep myself awake, though; I’m venturing into nerd haven Akihabara (also known as Electric Town) today to look for another 電子辞書 so that I don’t have to wait for the one at home to be mailed out to Kanazawa.

By the way, the International Date Line is 日付変更線, which I know (but apparently can’t spell in kana) because we had it on a vocabulary quiz in Japanese this year. Try saying “hidzukehenkousen” five times fast.

I think this blog is going to win some sort of award for most parenthetical references.
